The Barossa Photography Club, based in Nuriootpa, has recently taken out third place in the club section of this year’s South Australian Photographic Federation (SAPF) Annual Exhibition.
Being one of the smallest photography clubs in South Australia, club members were absolutely thrilled to hear where they were ranked in the field of 12 clubs from across South Australia which participated.
Current president, Graeme Stokes congratulated the club for their efforts and David Dahlenburg, past president, commented that it was the “best result we’ve ever had.
The aim of SAPF is to promote and encourage proficiency in the art and science of photography for the community of photographers in South Australia.
Entries in the club section consist of a set of ten photographs taken by members.
Three judges from the Australian Institute of Professional Photographers judged the competition.
Barossa Photography Club secretary, Mark Tyler, said that the club meets every third Thursday of the month at the St. Petri Lutheran Church Meeting Room, in Nuriootpa.
“We are a group of photography enthusiasts with a range of ages, skills and experiences who share a common interest in both the art and science of photography. ”
